Fall Cleaning

In case you haven't heard, Adam is in Baghdad for a year. Me, being the optimist that I am ;), have decided to make the best out of the situation by making it my mission to rid my house of all of Adam's hoarding. He has, in fact, acquired quite a few things in the 5 years that we've been in Texas. Today, I was going through Bryce's school work, deciding what I should and should not keep, when I came across this journal entry - a DEFINITE keeper!

In case you can't read it, is says:
January 5, 2010
My favrite thing I did during Chrismas Brake is selobrating New Year in Calofornya. We had over 34 people come over for New Year! We nerly exploded the back yard! And then the confety came out along with sily string. The adolts played flip cup all night.
Awesome with a capital A! And also extremely grateful that he did not mention the beer pong!

My Addison

Do you think it would have taken just as much energy for her to put her shoes away in her closet like she was asked?

Sunday, May 15, 2011

Addison: Mommy, I need water.

Me: Can you use your stool?

Addison: No my baby is on it.

Kaelyn: Um, mommy, that's your toothbrush.

Me: Addison, quit using my toothbrush!

Addison: I want to use the toothbrush my baby used.

Awesome.

Spring Break - Kaelyn and Addison Style

Where do they come up with this stuff?

Monday, April 18, 2011

Wii bowling is one of our favorite things to do. Kaelyn wasn't doing so great tonight, and obviously, it was the character's fault and not her own.

Kaelyn: Bryce, I don't want to be her. I want to be that boy in the white shirt you made me.

Bryce: Kaelyn, that wasn't a boy, it was a really ugly girl.

To be ugly, or to be sucky? Decisions, decisions ;)

Caught in the act...Pictures from my phone.

Only in a California Walmart will you find a low jack on a shopping basket. (and yes, they all looked like this) Photobucket We visited Knott's Berry Farm in California. Kaelyn had a melt down. (huge surprise) Photobucket It's awesome that Bryce makes his own waffles in the morning. Not so awesome? Drinking milk out of a scotch glass. Photobucket Here is Kaelyn melting down at her first t-ball practice. (again, huge surprise) Photobucket Love is...teaching your daughter to pee in the lake. Photobucket Adam "racing" Uncle Bobby is just a bad idea all around. Photobucket Kaelyn's "talent". I hope it's never used in a spring break atmosphere. Photobucket You know your last name is Earls when your ride home from California looks like this. Photobucket And this. Photobucket Little Mama...wallet in one pocket, cell phone in the other. Photobucket LOL! Photobucket Kaelyn throwing a fit at basketball practice. (are we noticing a trend here?) Photobucket You know your last name is Earls when your drive to Kansas looks like this. When I fell asleep he put the diaper cake in between his feet. That's how much room we had in our trunk. Photobucket And... Kaelyn dressed herself for picture day. Awesome. If you're planning on buying a class picture, sorry about your luck! Photobucket

Kaelyn Plays T-Ball!

Adam, as her coach, had to come up with a team name. He picked the Road Runners. Why? Because the road runner is the Texas state bird. Well that seemed logical. And she looks really cute in her uniform!

PS. The mocking bird is the state bird of Texas.

My Bathroom is Flooded

But at least the barbies are clean.

Just Another Night in Paradise

Adam changed the battery in my car yesterday. This morning, when I took Bryce to school, this is what my dashboard looked like.

Will someone PLEASE tell him that he doesn't know how to fix things?

Conversations in the Car Today

Bryce: Kaelyn, did you know that some planets have more than one moon and Jupiter has over 60 moons?
Kaelyn: uh-huh.
Bryce: No you didn't.
Kaelyn: Well did you know that everything that's white is white?
Bryce: Yeah.
Kaelyn: No you didn't.

Kaelyn: Bryce do all girls have bigger butts than boys?
Bryce: Yeah.
Kaelyn: You know that you're bigger than me right?
Bryce: Yeah, but if you were the same size as me, your butt would be bigger.
Kaelyn: Oh.

Bryce: Mommy, I don't understand why how dinosaurs became extinct is a mystery. I mean, you can find other kinds of molecules on their bones. Like if it was lava, then their should be lava molecules on their bones. So it shouldn't be a mystery.
Me: (cricket, cricket)
Bryce: I guess if it was a giant eclipse than there would be no molecules.
Me: (cricket, cricket)
Bryce: But if there's no molecules then they should rule out everything that has molecules.
Addison: SCREAM
Me: (relieved to be out of the woods with that one) Addison, what's the problem?
Bryce: What do you mean what's the problem? They always have a problem.
Pause
Bryce: So why do you think no one knows how the dinosaurs became extinct?
Me: I don't know Bryce, maybe when you grow up, you can figure it out.
Bryce: That's a good idea, but what if someone figures it out before me?
Me: Well no one has figured it out yet.
Bryce: That's true. And people in the old days weren't very smart.
